America Under Attack: Islamic Terrorism and the Future of the Planet's Greatest Country

A society, that turns against itself is not able to eliminate its enemy without destroying itself.

The answer to an increasing thread from islamic terrorism is not to limit the freedoms of US citizens (increasing airport security, warrantless searches etc.). Only a "return to normality" can save the USA.

The USA of the 50'es was almost completely protected from acts of violence against it by terrorists. This was due to a functioning marriage institute, family and community that surrounded it. These are the values that energize a nation, and make it resilient against destructive movements such as islam.

This mechanism has produced a new threat: americans turning muslim. This is just one of many ways in which the current spiritual and moral void is being filled, and automatically breeds an army for the islamic movement to use.

What the United States needs to do right now, is to call a fast and return to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, as the first settlers knew how to do. The God who has blessed this God-seeking nation, is also able to save this nation. But God only acts on our behalf when He is welcomed to do so.

Israel in the Arms of God

Step 1: Israel is a pathetic nation, originally a band of herdsmen, dispersed around the other nations
Step 2: God brings Israel to its promised land (1948) and protects it with many war-time miracles
Step 3: Israel declares it's the best and greatest nation in the world, with the best air force too, no less
Step 4: God gives a deep sigh...

Wooing female gamers

http://www.cnn.com/2008/TECH/ptech/02/28/women.gamers/index.html

One (more) count of problematizing womens' free will in CS by CNN: 38 percent of gamers are girls, but there are more men than women in the industry creating those games. How to make women go where they have not (voluntarily) gone before?

Sherry Floyd, a game designer at SOE's Seattle studios says "I honestly don't think it's a gender issue, I think it's a marketing issue."

Courtney Simmons, public relations director for SOE, who helped spearhead the G.I.R.L. program and enjoys playing video games with her three children, believes that women are being "gamed down to," because, she says, "there is a lack of understanding about how women play."

Simmons wants to see "more women making games, making more games that women want to play."

What do you think? Are women being "gamed down to" or are women just smart enough not to waste time on (developing) games?
